CELEBSPOTLIGHT: Danielle Chuchran

It's not as satisfying or artistic as TV's "Anne of
Danielle Chuchran has come from modest beginnings as
a five-year old Hawaiian Tropic model and local Utah
actress to an 11 year old up and coming actress, making
appearances in such popular shows as “Days of Our Lives”
and “Crossing Jordan.” Chuchran has of late starred
opposite of Mike Myers in “The Cat and the Hat” and has
just recently released the mini-series, “Little House on
the Prairie” (ABC/ Disney).

Chuchran is now a very talented and active self-proclaimed
tomboy at 11 years old. Her hobbies vary from baseball
to mountain ATV riding, She not only excels in acting, but
in dancing; in fact she has won almost ten first place
trophies for her jazz and hip-hop. It is no wonder that
Chuchran is so talented when she is always developing her
acting, playing sports or dancing.

Although Chuchran loves acting, she admits that it has
its hazards. She filmed “Little House on the Prairie” in
Calgary, Canada where sheets of ice made for slick
surroundings while filming. Chuchran described how she had
to have nails protruding out of her shoes, so she could
walk over the ice. Making a mini-series that already had
such a large original fan base, Chuchran admitted, “I have
big shoes to fill, because I am such a fan of the original
series, but this one is more true to the book.” The
mini-series has received much positive feedback from such
sources as the New York Daily News, calling the show, “a
fine family drama with a young female protagonist.”

With all of her new experiences, she claims that many
people have impacted her view on acting. Chuchran admits
to admiring other actors, like her friend Dakota Fanning
and actress Kiera Knightly, whose work in “King Arthur”
she finds inspiring. If you ask Danielle’s favorite thing
about being a girl, she says, “jewelry, but I am a casual
kind of girl.” We’ll keep our eyes on this casual girl
whose name is becoming not so casual to her fans.
